I agree with you. Life long Windows user you just switched this week. Wow, Very nice. And with VirtualBox, I miss nothing from Windows.

But I have a question. What are you running that gives you the front end of your last image file on this post?

Great review! I recently installed 10.3, and after some frustration of getting video drivers installed and my wireless card working, i am still very pleased with this distro. KDE looks great and is easy to use. I especially like the ability to open a terminal in any folder (for that folder). I only wish that I had a better graphics card to handle some of the awesome eye candy! Currently dual booting with Vista (which i no longer use) on a thinkpad t60p. Other reviews say negative things about Yast, but after playing around with it is actually very efficient.

Rohit, I have installed the SUSE 10.3 and I am running GNOME as people say it is easy to operate in gnome [especially for newbie]. But I started finding it too boring, the menus are limited [that’s what I feel]. I wonder how KDE looks and feels like. I wanted to know about KDE. Is it too complex and do we need to know some Linux commands to fully use the KDE. I am totally impressed with compiz interface. Do we get all the compiz features on KDE too or is it limited. I wanted to know which one is better. GNOME or KDE.

10.3 Sucks. Try installing Java. You’ll know what a P-A-I-N it is!

It is plain terrible. It doesn’t log in at times and acts stupid. I can’t change the date. It crashes and the bug reporting tool turns up.

10.2 is the best release.
